About Us

Next Chapter Bookshop is an independent bookshop serving Ozaukee County and Milwaukee’s North Shore. Owner Lanora Haradon Hurley opened the shop, formerly Harry W. Schwartz Bookshops’ Mequon location, on April 1, 2009 after managing the location for several years.

We are proud to carry on the area's decades-long independent bookselling tradition by offering new and used books, personalized reading recommendations, author events, free weekly storytime for children ages 3-6, unique gifts and toys, and free services for book clubs.
