is a delightful new picture book by Milwaukee author Deborah Lakritz
that chronicles one little girl’s ongoing visit to the Shalom House,
where her mom does volunteer work with senior citizens. At first, Lily
is overwhelmed by all the new faces that are much older than hers. But
in time she joins in on group activities, makes new friends, and
celebrates a birthday to remember. Lakritz was inspired by her own young
daughter’s struggle to relate to her grandmother when she moved to a
