Diana Joseph's memoir is not your mother's memoir, but if you love David Sedaris's family stories you'll be right at home with I'm Sorry You Feel That Way. Joseph is laugh-out-loud funny when she recounts her auto-mechanic father explaining to his young daughter why she doesn't want to be one of those girls, or when she describes her ex-boyfriend who did her the honor of painting her name in gold on the side of his demolition derby car.
