We have a great selection of Second Hand books at Next Chapter Bookshop, but we could always use more--yours!

Our Second Hand buying hours are on Fridays between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. (Sorry, we cannot accept drop-offs. If these buying hours don't work for you give us a call at 262-241-6220. We may be able to schedule an appointment outside of our regular hours)

Here's how it works:
We will buy your gently used books in exchange for STORE CREDIT. It's the perfect way to recycle. Bring in what you've read, and get something new!
We don't buy every book. It's not because we don't believe in the inherent value of every book, but because we have limited space and a high standard of quality.


Here is what we are looking for:
Books must be in very good condition. That means:
• No writing
• Dust jacket is present and not torn
• Spine is intact and not broken or split


How much?
The credit we give you for your books greatly depends on the condition (more for better condition), how popular the book is (in other words, would someone else want to buy it?), and whether or not we already have second hand copies in stock. Generally, you can expect bewteen $.50 to $3.00 per book.
Our concentration is on books published within the last five years. We prefer hardcovers and trade paperbacks. We will NOT buy mass market paperbacks (the smaller trim/pocket sized books that typically sell for $7.99-$9.99). Please see below for a rough guideline as to the types of books we will buy:
