Here's how Second-Hand Book Exchange works: Exchange your gently read books for STORE CREDIT. It's the perfect way to recycle. Bring in what you've read, and get something new!
We have limited space and a high standard of quality, so we can't exchange every book you bring in. Our customers have very specific tastes, just like you!
Books must be in very good condition. That means:
- No writing or markings anywhere in or on the book
- No folded pages
- If a hardcover, the dust jacket must be present and not torn or price-clipped
- If a paperback, the cover should not be folded or torn
- Spine is intact and not broken or split
The credit we give you for your books greatly depends on the condition (more for better condition), how popular the book is (in other words, would someone else want to buy it?), and whether or not we already have second-hand copies in stock. You can expect to receive between $.50 to $3.00 per book in store credit.
Generally, any books accepted for exchange must have been published within the last five years. We exchange hardcovers and trade paperbacks only. We cannot accept any mass market paperbacks (the smaller trim/pocket sized books that typically sell for $7.99-$9.99).
